If setting Internet Explorer as the default browser does not resolve the issue, the problem may be with an invalid registry setting.

1. Select Start - Run and type regedit <enter>.

2. Navigate to this Value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\IEXPLORE.EXE\DefaultIcon

3. Change the value to “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe,-32528”

Note: The value typically “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe,-7” if this is the issue.

4. Reboot.
